What a weekend! Lots of friends and lots of food, it was a good one but today I’m feeling not so fresh.

Rather than beat myself up about what I did or didn’t eat, I’ll take the day to clean up with a 24 hour juice fast. Fasting can be very healing, it gives your digestive system a rest, clears out some unwanted junk, and provides a rich boost of nutrients.

The longest I’ve fasted on juice is five days, it’s intense and not something I recommend anyone do their first time without experienced support and guidance.  I have friends who have gone as long as 90 days, for the purpose of healing. It has profound effects on all aspects of self: mind, body and spirit.
